Though prayerfully sympathetic, I've had a hard time imagining the tsunami. Not anymore. Imagine watching every part of your life destroyed over an excruciatingly slow six minutes.
As thousands of bodies wash onto the shores of Japan, let us pray. Resolve to help.
Perhaps we can even let go of petty concerns, just for today.

Shock and awe
Lord, I am awed and horrified by the events in Japan and Libya: the power of your creation and the power of Evil. While relief and resistance are ours to do, please, please care for the families of the dead, and the sick, and the dying, and soften the hearts of the Khaddafi family.
We are always at your mercy; we pray to always be in it.
