While writing my Rule of Life for the Renovare Institute, I came across a course I taught at my church Lent 2003, which was about 4 months after I was hired. "Discovering Daily Disciplines".
I have wondered why, in all this church renewal stuff of the last eight years, the Holy Spirit was working on a different project than I was. Easy. My ego wanted to grow the church; my spirit wanted to grow the people.
